Population-based cancer registries are eligible for ENCR membership provided that: • They operate in Europe • They completed the ENCR questionnaire ‘Overview of the registration practices’ launched on 21st May 2010 • They update the questionnaire on request For the purposes of ENCR membership, Europe will be defined in line with the UN definition. An exception is made for Cyprus (excluded from the UN definition), as it is a member state of the European Union. Following from the above, the duties of the ENCR members are: • To comply with regular updates of the ENCR questionnaire • To ensure that the contact details on the Registries Portal are up to date at all times ENCR members enjoy the following benefits: • Information on the ENCR activities • Preferential access to the ENCR databases (conditional on permissions) • Participation in ENCR activities (meetings, collaborative projects, surveys) • Preferential review of a paper submitted to the European Journal of Cancer Prevention • Participation in ENCR courses • Eligibility for ENCR fellowship • Right to request the ENCR Structured Registry Review or the ENCR Consultancy • Access to other ad-hoc support from within ENCR • Vote for ENCR representatives • Eligibility as an ENCR representative • Use of the ‘ENCR Member Registry’ logo (to be downloaded from the Registries Portal) Any candidate for the ENCR membership should contact the ENCR Secretariat. |
