Building Eurocim Databases   Eurocim Databases Structure   Eurocim Databases Known Issues/Problems Reported by European Cancer Registries   Eurocim Software	This huge database and powerful statistical software package has recently been updated to run in Windows. The new version 4.0 became available in July 2001. It maintains the previous analytical potential and is much more user-friendly. In comparison to the previous Windows version (3.0), the following improvements have been made: . A new time trends analysis module has been added to the suite of statistical analyses available in EUROCIM. This new feature allows the user to fit age-period-cohort models to the registry incidence and mortality data. . Four new databases are included together with the software itself: three incidence databases and one mortality database. . The incidence databases contain data provided by European Cancer registries at three levels of details: . the traditional 'EUROCIM entity' codes, . the ICD-10 three digit category codes, and, for the first time, . the 'Cancer Incidence in Five Continents Vol. VII and VIII' coding system. . The Help system has been entirely reviewed: it is now more comprehensive and easier to use. . The user-interface (particularly the selection of the 'Working Dataset') is now user-friendly. . Reported bugs have been corrected and suggestions for enhancements added. As a result, the program is more stable.
